Hope all involved will be fine.
We saw an accident last night 6:30 pm on 101, Indianola exit heading north, two vehicles one overturned, both totaled. Yet there are no reports of it? Looked like bad injuries possible. older pickup and a SUV?
Look again. It was in the news. One fatality. Sad.

Dang! I never cut across that freeway. I get nervous just thinking about it. This accident certainly reinforces that feeling. Not to mention even approaching the intersections while cruising along on 101… gotta assume everyone crossing over just doesn’t see me at all, and is likely to pull out right in front of me. I hate it when they start creeping as i approach… i’m not sure if they’re just warming up to jump in quickly, or actually intending to pull out, and thereby cause a collision. Electricity tingles my fingertips then.
I’m always surprised to see cars lined up from South bound 101, during rush hour, in the turn lane for Indianola, or Bayside. Wouldn’t it be easier, and maybe quicker( than waiting on 101 to squeeze through) to take Old Arcata Rd. if your destination was Indianola? If you had to get to Eureka from Indianola at rush hour, why not the back road by the Fairgrounds?
Stories of the crash all over FB. It was a fatality.
Walnut Dr and Campton Rd are not patrolled. People can hit 60 easy on Walnut. Campton rd 40 at least. Walnut is now a way for people to bypass Broadway so the traffic is fast and thick. You might see a CHP out here at 3 in the afternoon, probably going home for lunch.
I see one at 8ish. But that’s it.
Drove past it. Everyone is okay. Looks like the white truck pulled out from Northridge in front of oncoming green truck on Walnut. Jeep was collateral damage.
I think the white truck was south on Walnut and turned left onto NR on front of the northbound green truck…
Oops. I’m wrong on the directions, but yes, the white one sure looked like the cause.
Where did you people read that there was a fatality involved in that accident? I sure hope not. Thought the fatality was on the freeway.
Anytime I’m on Campton Rd and go the posted speed limit, I am being tailgated.
Brakecheck ’em! Or just take your foot off the gas a little.
