Get ready everyone. Batteries, food, generators, flashlites, water, get ready! And do not drive if you do not have to. Make sure the people who you know may need help, check on them now, help them if they need. Fire depts should be on standby, and be ready, though most are anyway.
Open snow is an awesome site for weather nerds. Bryan Allegretto is an excellent meteorologist out of the Tahoe area who gives a real breakdown on the various models and the what and why various forecasts are given. Almost all the Sierra storms pass through here so the models he uses shows local precipitation projections.
