According to the scanner about 12:30 p.m., dispatchers sent volunteer firefighters and Cal Fire to respond to a motorhome pulling a vehicle that was “fully engulfed” in flames traveling northbound on Hwy 101 north of Myers Flat.

The CHP Traffic Incident Information Page states that a fire crew is on the scene, the vehicles have now stopped and are blocking the outside lane.

Lucky to have been able to clear the burning vehicle from the motor home. Imagine having to decide whether to keep moving or stop and try to uncouple. Anyway good work by the volunteers. And lucky too that it was wet enough not to spread off road.

What did they do to start a fire, drive off with car brakes on or something?

Emergency brakes are on the rear wheels, not the front ones.
