About 2100 Without Power in Northern Mendocino
With today’s wind and rain, power has gone out to a number of Mendocino customers of PG&E. According to Deanna Contreras, spokesperson for the company,
PG&E has activated its Operations Emergency Center (OEC) to respond to outages from today’s wind and rain safely and as quickly as possible. Right now there are approximately 2100 customers without power in Mendocino County but crews have restored power to many more already today. Those customers are mostly located in:
Branscome – 144 customers currently impacted
Cummings – 37
Dos Rios – 11
Laytonville – 1321
Leggett – 351
Westport – 19
Willits – 158
There is one outage impacting most of those customers and it started at 9:30 am and originally impacted about 3,000 customers, in which many now have power. Crews are investigating and looking for the cause of the outage. Right now the estimated restoral time (time when power is expected to be turned back on) is 1:30 this afternoon but as crews determine the actual cause, that time may change.
