We invite you to come on December 12, 2019 / 6 PM at Arcata Playhouse 1251 9th St, Arcata,
  • Join us to sing Las Mañanitas a la Vírgen de Guadalupe, to continue this tradition in Arcata, to bring young students closer to their roots, and honor our Indigenous Mother.
  • In addition, we want to celebrate with you the 1st Anniversary of the Sanctuary Law, our rights as immigrants are human rights.
  • We will give a recognition to our beloved sister Renee Saucedo, founder of Centro del Pueblo.
  • We will have food to share, this is a potluck, but don’t worry if you have no time to cook, join us anyway!
After Las Mañanitas, we will present the panel “Ebb and Flow of Immigration in Humboldt: Stories of Latinx and Asian Communities”.
This is a project in which we’ll recover the history of our Immigrant communities in this land. Did you know that a long time ago there was a neighborhood in Eureka called “Little Tijuana” very popular for the food sale. Did you know that our sisters and brothers who came from China suffered repression in Eureka many years ago?

This event is organized by: MYTH (Mariposa y Tsuru Humboldt) Alliance integrated by: Centro del Pueblo, The Asian Desi Pacific Island Collective of HSU, Taiko Swing Humboldt, in collaboration with The Arcata Playhouse). this is a Free event, donations are welcome to support the activities of MYTH in 2020.
REMEMBER THAT TOGETHER, SI SE PUEDE!

More traitors and criminals celebrating south of the border myths that have nothing to do with the United States. As many astute commentators have stated (radio host Mark Levin foremost among them) so-called “sanctuary” cities and states are akin to the old Confederacy, defying federal law, seceding from the U.S. into a lawless state. Outside agitators like Saucedo and Sanctuary Mike McGuire are rebels without a cause, destroying community from within, and like all nihilistic “progressives” eroding culture and tradition in their socialist objective to bring down liberty and constitutionalism.

🕯🌳It was the traditions of this land way before you Europeans ever showed up. 🖖 And it’s the United States of what American, north, central or south.
