Once again, the Seniors are showing SoHum how to do public service.
Thanks Healy Senior Center, and to everyone in the community, send your donations to the service organization that truly is run for the benefit of the population.
Support the Healy Senior Center in their mission to benefit the community!
Nicely done, Elders!
These two events are sponsored by SoHum Housing Opportunities , a local non profit committed to more housing and services for our homeless population. We rent the Healy Senior Center. We are volunteers using local donations. The shower trailer is owned by AHHA , Affordable Homeless Housing Alternatives, a non profit in Eureka, who got a state grant for this new 3 shower unit trailer. They are generously driving it down here for a trial run today, hopefully to have future ,regular visits. RRHC has offered their parking lot for this event. Please donate to these efforts at our local credit union , Vocality, or find the big jar on the counter at Chautauqua Natural Foods.
This makes me cry. Those with the least always do their best to come through for people in need. The cold blooded politicians know this better than the idiot partisans who continue to stand behind poses and lies, never noticing nothing substantive ever gets done, and never realizing that if their favorite party EVER delivers on their promises there’s no way left to squeeze votes out of rubes… so they don’t.
Infuriating!
And God bless the Senior Center and Redwoods Rural Health for their mercy and compassion.
Amen to both yr kindness
Cold and hunger is a real thing. Just think how many people live outside. I’ve done it for many years and it is hard to stay warm. Food actually makes you warmer because your body has to process it, i.e. creating heat. This is a great thing the senior center is doing. Can’t we all just get along?
