The South Fork Cubs took a big step towards a third straight undefeated league campaign with a 38-22 win over Laytonville in their homecoming game on Friday night.

The Cubs have not lost a game in the NCL-III since switching to eight person football three years ago.

They had to battle for this one, however, against a physical Laytonville team that came ready to play.

“It was actually a pretty hard-fought game,” South Fork head coach Karl Terrell said. “They came to hit and it felt like old-time football. I loved it.”

Alex Harding is the real deal. Real good runner with vision and speed. Tough and has leadership skills. He could play in any era and on any teams from south forks past.
