Fire in Tree Near Building Causes Multiple People to Call 911

Arcata Fire on scene were mainly handling some hot spots as law enforcement used extinguishers to contain to initial flames.
Firefighters had to cut through heavy brush to get access to the fire
The fire is mainly contained as of 1 p.m. According to those on the scene, this appears to be a transient camp.
Multiple agencies responded including Arcata Police, University Police and Arcata Fire.

Imagine that in Eureka, along 101, near every underpass and overpass. Actually Arcata, for all liberal socialism being spoken, is harder on encampments than every where except Fortuna. As you tell by the aggressive name calling here, with liberals it’s like Charles Schulz said “I love mankind … it’s people I can’t stand!!”
It seems like most Conservatives would rather see the country go down the drain rather than admit a mistake and try to make amends before it is too late. This is the very definition of cowardice! If you’re a citizen able to vote, and still support the trump regime, you hate democracy and the American constitution.
You’re right about Arcata being more proactive on transient camps, I’ve really noticed a difference in the town lately and it’s wonderful to see. This will help make Arcata the go-to place for visitors, shoppers, diners, etc. And there’s “for rent” signs everywhere in the town, so there’s plenty of housing.

Feel so for the homeless, must be so hard to live like that. That said, they do habituate that area. They seem to habituate most areas.

Conservatives like George Bush wasted nearly one trillion American taxpayer dollars in Irag. Or that Donald Trump, a professed conservative, is a pathological liar over 8500 times, a Narcissistic with issues of grandeur, a sexual predator and wasting billions of American taxpayer dollars flitting around the world with his family and to Florida playing golf and entertaining friends at our expense. Seems like fertile ground for a huge reducing to conservatism.

Hey guest, you do not know of what you speak… in Fortuna , all along the river especially near the Palmer blvd ramps are riddled with homeless en campments….behind the Safeway, and 3 blocks toward the freeway from Starbucks is a small green zone with camps and trash and needles, right off the main drag
