This is a really bad intersection. Witnessed 2 vehicles narrowly missing one another today. Traffic signals would definitely help.

🕯🌳Agreed, it’s almost as bad as Walbash and Broadway in Eureka.

No, there is not. There is a stop sign on Newburg rd and a Yield sign on the freeway exit. Through traffic on 12th st.

12th and Newburg is the 45-degree intersection next to the tracks, just off the highway. No signal there.

You think that people who don’t notice a stopped vehicle in front of them will notice a couple little lights?

Slowing down and paying attention would definitely help!

🕯🌳Just walked through or past that very intersection and watched at least 5 people run the stop sign. Newburg road from 12th street to the Blvd is a lawyer’s dream. ADA,Ambulance chasers could all make a bucket load of cash. Tie downs for any poles are suppose to be covered by a special piece of reflective plastic, been the law since the 90’s,and with the lack of lighting you could hook yourself on an exposed cable or one that is improperly rapped and go to the hospital the n use the city. Driveways are not properly angled so that wheelchairs can transverse without tipping over. I’ve had to help at least 5 to 8 people right themselves, its embarrassing to the person in the chair.

No Kym, I said so his head would hurt like the lady he hit with his vehicle. I have seen worse comments than mine, and they don’t get the edit axe.

I don’t see how my comment broke any rules Kym. I see the word hurt not break. You are in charge of my freedom of speech I guess, and there is nothing I can do about that.
