[UPDATE] Sheriff’s Department Releases Description of the Vehicles Involved in Home Invasion Near Blocksburg Where One Person Was Shot

Penske Truck

This is not the Penske truck involved. Nor does it for sure represent the vehicle involved. It is just one example of the color and branding on one of the vehicles involved. [Image from the Penske website]

The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department is searching for three vehicles involved in this morning’s home invasion near Blocksburg of a reportedly legal cannabis farm where one person was shot in the hand.

“We got called at 4:40 [this morning,]” Lt. Mike Fridley. “There were five to seven armed subjects all wearing black with black masks..They pistol-whipped everybody….Shot one in the hand…They were in three different trucks.”

“The suspects took an undetermined amount of marijuana and a bunch of other items,” he said.

The vehicles were last seen traveling westbound on Alderpoint Road passing Tooby Ranch Road about 5 a.m., according to a witness.

He wants everyone to know that the suspects fled in a small white U-haul truck, a white Ford F250 towing a white enclosed box trailer, and a yellow Penske truck. “If anyone sees these vehicles, call 911,” he asked.

UPDATE: Note a map on Google of the places renting Penske trucks shows the nearest one is in the Redding area:

Ya because someone’s gunna shoot their people in the hand for a cover up and gun butt them in the head. Where is your common sense? A lot of them, I’m sure, are staged but this one my friend…doesn’t quite fit the description of a staged robbery.

🕯🌳Ok I admit I had it a little wrong but it still falls right in line with the others, and now there getting there lies down a little better. Again a shot to the hand ain’t shit and the dude with the bump on the head was the one that some how cut his zip ties and made it to a neighbors house. Still a hmmmmmm moment.

You have to be open minded and take into consideration that they are at a farm around sharp objects where they easily could have cut loose. And if a GSW isn’t shit then why dont I give u a thousand dollars to shoot yourself anywhere u want. A pistol whip to the head is more than I’d wanna take in a staged robbery that isn’t going to get fully investigated..

Oh look ! Legalizing it didn’t take the crime out of it, instead it’s given the thieves a bunch of treasure maps .Best be hiring some top notch security for your farms, this is going to continue happening. This is going to continue to take up lots of time for the local police departments, there should be a tax on the farms to help cover the extra cost our departments will spend enforcing these crimes.

This sucks!

Oh man!
we need to get you up to speed
there is a tax. several in fact. $1-$2/ square ft. outdoor, from the County, then it’s ( I’ve been told) $11,000 for grows between 5-10,000 sq. ft. from the State ( making it more expensive per square foot to be at 5,001 sq. ft. than at 9,999!), then sales taxes at the retail level…there’s shrinking profit margins to “be hiring some top notch security”.
Also this is a Sherriff gig. Just to let you in on how it works outside of Eureka, This happened in an un incorporated area. The only “Police Depts.” here are within the Arcata, Eureka, Fortuna, and Rio Dell city limits.
The way the new weed laws have gone, the grower is still treated like the criminal. When it was illegal you were innocent until proven guilty. Now it is in the Civil realm, you are guilty, until theoretically one day, you can prove, and pay your way to innocence.
But there’s nothing new here. Anything worth something can get ripped. a few years ago someone stole a semi trailer full of walnuts, probably happens all the time.

I’m aware of those taxes but none of them go directy to law enforcement.
When a business goes in to an area that’s going to effect say parking and traffic constantly they have to pay to put in a parking garage or stop lights ect till the county is happy with your business impact as an example
The farms are impacting the available officers for the public since they are and will continue to be “ robbed”.This takes up many extra man hours and officers.
The farms locations are also putting their neighbors at risk of a wrong address invasion, not hard to take the wrong drive way in the remote areas.
With that being said the farms should have a tax applied that compensates the departments the responding departments, kinda like the parcel tax they have for fire coverage, but in this case applied only to the farms 🤓

maybe they should have ACTUALLY legalized it… as in making it okay to grow. All the old “dairy farmers” are going to stay angry. Notice they don’t go after the black market farms anymore. Sad times. Sorry for your loss and your hand. I don’t condone any theft, be it from legal farms or otherwise, but its clear that 64 was a ripoff too.

I agree armed security on the legal farms would be extremely good. Just cause the revenue is so extreme and there’s so much put into these farms. The farm owners and employees should feel safe at work, not in fear for their lives. These random acts aren’t always a set up. Have some compassion for the human race.

I have a closet full, including 4 autoloaders (a couple of which are ranch rifles in .223, Rugers, Brownings and Rems) and I’m not happy about ANYTHING going on at the Congressional level these days, but thus far nobody has taken anything since Reagan’s advisor Brady pushed his bill through. Oh, and personally I’m more concerned about your facist friends than, say, democratic socialist Bernie, whose State has open carry. What the whackos should be most concerned about is liberals like me. Won’t back down, won’t swallow the lies. The whole cold dead hands bit. Mulligan Ex Parte very clearly states that wherever our American Common Law Courts are up and operating, the admiralty courts must cease operating as military tribunals and revert to their proper place as courts merely concerned with actual maritime contracts and other admiralty issues.

These foreign international courts, which are doing so much damage to our property and our people, are merely opportunists filling a gap that we left open through ignorance. When our courts stand on the land, their courts cannot usurp— but when we allow our Common Law Court System to stand vacant, the cat is away and the rats can play.

So no, Ullr Rover, linking us to a 9th Dist. ruling doesn’t mean beans when the bag is open. Wouldn’t hold up if challenged in a court of competent jurisdiction.

The only weapon that could out gun five AK-47’s is the M-60. And they are both 308 caliber. The key is the element of surprise. You can’t get a weapon into your hands if you are ambushed by surprise.

There actually are. Any vehicle used for commercial purposes, an 18 wheeler, or a Prius, is supposed to get a Motor Carrier of Property number and stop at scales. Now all these legal growers are doing “legit” business with all those pick-ups and box trailers technically should be enrolled. Rental box vans are supposed to stop at scales. A CHP could pull any of them over at any time, just to check if it is personal moving shit, or a rental for a business.

Uhaul does not have trackers, but there is a big process to rent one now. Also each truck has identifying numbers on all four sides of the truck. There will be two letters followed by four numbers and a letter for example, RV3268H. The number can be looked up by uhaul and bring up the info on renter and anybody they added to their contacts.

In my church we learn that marijuana is the crop of the devil himself. Evil stuff. These home invasions are the devil at work. If these evil people would stop making drugs other evil people would stop taking them with violence. Until then the lord laughs (I laugh too) and the world keeps spinning. I make my money the right and legal was unlike these scumbags. Got what they deserve, all involved on both sides. Amen and keep praying people.

Yes, a waiting period on zip ties and no more box truck rentals whatsoever. Unless it is a church group which needs them for purposes directly related to the work of God and Christ our lord. Thank you this is what is needed.

Jesus was zip tied to cross while they pointed AK-47s at him, nails were never involved in the crime.

Pretty sure someone saw them pass by Tooby Ranch Rd. Soon after they left Blocksburg. That’s around 5 miles from Garberville on AP road..

Remember how bitchen it was when all you dope growers sold those pounds to that friend of a friend from the city? The black dude came rolling up in his black Escalade with a grocery bag full of hunskies and bought all your illegal drugs and said see ya later? What he meant was see ya next year but I’ll be rollin with my hommies. Just because you got a note from the county does not mean you are forgiven for the last 25 years.

Oh yeah, that’s just what i think, too. (Not)

~the Drug war is failed because Code enforcement has a symbiotic relationship with the “hypothetical industry” itself. The virus is not going to kill the host, least a smart one. You keep it alive just enough to keep feeding off it.

How about that? All just because of the undefined “Legal” fruit.

Seems too easy for a white market grower to rip himself off , sell it on the black market , then go about their normal business.

Let’s look at the facts here.
1 Why would any criminal use a lowjacked penske truck to rob a grow in humboldt? Like this convoy of a uhaul , penske and ford with a box trailer wouldnt be sighted on a major hwy. The mention of them getting to the hwy was obviously propaganda.
2 The flesh wound scenario on an inside robbery job has been played out in hollywood for thre zombies in tv land for years. With all that income to gain and the calvary coming ,why not take one for the team?
3 going to the neihbors to call 911 looking all robbed and broke off would also help to assimilate your claim. No phone signal at your huge grow , no cameras , no security?
4 . 5 black guys dont go any where in humboldt unnoticed. Im sorry.

Im not saying there isnt a chance that this was infact a genuine robbery. Just seems a bit questionable

Why go thru all that trouble to fool the county so you can sell on the black market when you can do it right under their nose without all those theatrics.
You can even get away with claiming “crop failure” a couple of times.

Maybe insurance? I’m not sure that claiming crop failure would look good in the eyes of the county for renewal. With track and trace they would most likely want to inspect said ,”failure”. I’m not hip on all the details of legal growing but it may be worth their while to handle it this way.

3 huge trucks tho? A buddy of mine went under scrutiny on the end of a harvest and had to load his entire crop into a uhual . he must have shoved 400 pounds or so in there? Bringing 3 trucks seems a bit questionable for a robbery. Most theives are going to be a lot more concise. the lowjacked penske truck really seems like misinformation to me. Something to distract the investigation.

At most every stop light and every speed check there are cameras. They had to have been seen driving in, no question. Its a convoy for bleep sake. any vehicle in question is totally high profile. uhual , penske.

Its also possible the paid workers staged it in the effect to pass the blame on the men in black. It’s a crap shoot of a situation. No security on a grow with enough product to fill 3 huge trucks> not a camera or phone? This thing seems well planned out to the extent that they knew how the investigation would follow and how to mislead that investigation to some extent.

Im no expert and im not claiming to know the truth in all of this. just bringing some questions out. Also its very likely it could have been a genuine robbery and all the facts are just that. If thats the case lets catch the men in black!

The county is not inspecting anything and the county is not going to refuse to renew anybody’s permit over anything. The county wants tax money and permit fees and that is all the county is interested in. That is apparent by now to those of us following this corrupt extortion game that the county is playing. I might reconsider my position if the county EVER denies a large permit or rescinds ANY permit and chooses to not grab that $$ for their permission slip…

If anyone see’s a uhaul truck or trailer being used in a crime, get the number of the equipment and turn it in to the police department. This will let them know who rented the equipment. The numbers look just like the picture (two letters four numbers and a letter) and are on all four sides. The police can get the information from uhaul.

People will steal anything, as long as someone else will buy.

I also wonder about these marijuana robberies… It’s always African Americans with assault rifles too. Could they all be actual incidents?
