You Can Help Maintain the Arcata Marsh & Wildlife Sanctuary on Saturday

This is a press release from the City of Arcata:

Our Environmental Services Department is seeking volunteers to assist with maintaining the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary Saturday, September 21 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Work will include removing Spartina and other invasive plants. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and work will take place rain or shine. Participants are asked to meet at 9 a.m. at parking lot on South G Street before walking to the work site.

Volunteers are encouraged to bring a reusable water bottle, gloves and to wear protective footwear and clothing. Extra gloves and tools will be provided, and lunch will be served at the end of the work day.
