Gyppo Ale Mill Holding Pints for Non-Profits to Benefit Shelter Cove CERT; You Can Sign Up for CERT Classes

Gyppo Ale Mill is holding a Pints for Non-Profits benefiting the Shelter Cove Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)! Join us there on Monday, September 23rd from 2:00 – 6:00 pm.
Come meet some of your CERT members and learn more about what it is we do. We will have lots of preparedness related hand-outs and Jojo will talk and do her “Stop, Drop & Roll” demonstration. You can also sign up for the CERT, Basic course that will be starting on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 9:00 am
Here’s the proposed schedule for CERT classes this fall. Shelter Cove folks will go to the front of the line, so to speak.
(All dates are Saturdays)
Module #1, Disaster Prep & #6. CERT Organization — 5 October
Module # 7, Disaster Psychology & #8, Terrorism & CERT — 12 October
Module #5, Light Search & Rescue & #2, Fire Safety — 19 October
Module #3, Disaster Medical Ops, Part 1 & #4, Medical Ops, Part 2 — 2 November
Module #9, Final Review, Radio Ops, Pantry Pot-luck and exercise
Classes will be held at the Shelter Cove Fire Station and run from 9:00 a.m. to about 1:00 – 2:00 p.m.
There is no cost. Our Instructors volunteer their time.

If this miserable business wanted to do anything for the shelter community they could start by treating their customers with respect, introducing “service” and quit serving over priced garbage. Hopefully we get to celebrate it closing its doors forever in the near future.
