Klamath-Trinity School District Policy Offers Free Meals to All Its Students

Klamath Trinity Joint Unified School District today announced its policy for serving meals to students under the National School Lunch/School Breakfast Programs for the 2019-2020 school year. All students will be served lunch and breakfast at no charge at the following sites:

All sites in the Klamath Trinity Joint Unified School District: Trinity Valley Elementary
Hoopa Valley Elementary
Hoopa Valley High School

Captain John Alternative High School Weitchpec Yurok Magnet School Orleans Elementary
Jack Norton Elementary

paid for by the american taxpayers. why doesnt every school get the same treatment? if you are going to feed kids why not feed them all? why is this school special?

The public schools in Willits already do this. Over half the students in the district qualify for a free-or-reduced lunch. Not too surprisingly, going off campus to pay full price for fast food is a very popular option.

yes and that is like welfare, it is based off of the parents income. this is different. EVERY kid gets a free lunch

This is wonderful and in my opinion should be offered at all schools. I wouldn’t mind paying extra taxes for this awesome service!

I will gladly pay more in taxes to ensure a child gets free meals at school, gladly!
