🕯🌳Good job Fortuna and Ferndale CALFIRE dept firefighters. 👍🏽Since an ambulance came screaming into Fortuna I think there might have been a causality. 🕊

A fire extinguisher for your vehicle costs under $30. Not a bad investment. You could have saved this guy’s truck and I bet he would have bought you a new one😁

Is that red pickup with the damaged tailgate looking to catch on fire too in order to collect insurance money? Doesn’t appear to be a rescue truck.

No NOT A RESCUE TRUCK BUT A REGULAR GOOD SAMARITAN. Lucky for the driver he was there, very well may have saved her life. Kudo to him for stopping and helping her. I am glad it appears no one was hurt.

I was thinking its more likely that someone didn’t do the fuel filter/water seperator maintenance properly and it was leaking. Driver side is also the location of the fuel pumps. You can definitely tell by the fire in the pictures. That it was leaking fuel at that point from that side of the engine.

That is diesel only recall, that is a gasoline powerplant, half ton with dual exhaust, gasser , probably some aftermarket wiring or a rat under the hood .

Looking, Looking, can’t tell for sure but it may be a diesel V6, if its a 1/2 ton. Has some pulleys in the same places. hard to tell with all the plastic gone. Fuel filter for those is back by the spare tire. Those have a compressed carbon block. I wonder how that fared in the fire!
