Home and Outbuilding Destroyed by Fire on Bear Creek Road North of Weaverville

On August 16, 2019 at 3:28 PM, a structure fire was reported on Bear Creek Road, north of Weaverville, CA.

Numerous Deputies and fire personnel responded to the area. The fire personnel assessed and fought the fire, while the Deputies conducted area notifications regarding the fire.

The fire consumed a residence, a single outbuilding, and also caused a spot fire in a wooded area. All fires have been since been contained.

The incident is being investigated by Cal Fire. The cause of the fire presently remains undetermined.

No individuals were harmed as a result of this incident.

Willie, why look for fault. All that is known is a house burnt down.

Its a good thing it didnt take off in the woods. That area is thick conifer forest leading up to the wilderness area with no roads past Bear Creek.
