[UPDATE 1:35 p.m.] Multiple Fires Break Out Near Piercy and Along Hwy 101

Multiple small fires broke out around 12:56 p.m. near Hwy 101 in the area of the Reynolds over crossing by Piercy, according to the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page.

Leggett Fire, Cal Fire and the California Highway Patrol are at the scene.

Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.

UPDATE 1:27 p.m.: Firefighters have closed the #2 (outside) southbound lane to fight the flames.

UPDATE 1:35 p.m.: According to Piercy resident Patty Watson, the firefighters are in mop up stage on one fire and the other fire is already out.

I agree with that comment. Some morons even park their vehicles in dry grass which can catch fire from the catalytic converter. You just can’t fix stupid!

If memory serves me last year he was driving a copper colored Izuzu Trooper when he set those fires. Seems the courts don’t take arson very seriously.

Firefighters are true badass heroes and community servants.. They should be paid waaaaaay more than cops who get what… 50 to 80 gs a year?

I definately think that guy from.last year should be checked into ..he knew what he was doing and the one he lit was right by his familys home and they were freaking out and didnt know what to do who does that to their own family and at the time had no idea it was him ..cause yeah he served no time

Is Dylan out or is he still in jail? I thought I saw him one day last week, but maybe it was just someone who looked like him- didn’t get a close look.

There’s also the guy who lit the Gasquet fires and other fires who they let out 3 days after being arrested.
