[UPDATE 5:50 p.m.] Woman Seriously Injured After Allegedly Being Thrown From Moving Vehicle in Petrolia This Afternoon

An ambulance is responding Code 3 (with lights and siren) to Petrolia after a woman was seriously injured, according to the scanner. The first report of the incident came in about 5 p.m.
When firefighters arrived on scene though, they reported that the incident was criminal in nature.
“The patient states she was thrown from a moving vehicle,” the Incident Commander told the dispatcher over the radio. “The vehicle is no longer in this area.”
The patient is being stabilized with a suspected C-spine (neck) injury while waiting for the ambulance to get to the rural area.
Please remember that information gathered from initial reports is subject to revision as more facts become available.
UPDATE 5:50 p.m.: The patient is being transported to the hospital, according to the scanner.

Dear Kim, I k how your a busy lady* I want to share some things with you. My baby’s stroller was stolen off my porch. I contacted the fortuna police department & had a picture of the item stolen. It was seen on market place today. The police here won’t do anything but I a do have pictures & the lady who took it is selling it for $25. It’s 2 blocks away from my house & the police did show up but they took my ID & not the illegal with 8 kid’s ID. I pay taxes & this person had no ID you present to the police.

I’m so sorry to hear that your childs stroller was taken. My Son lives in Texas where my Grandsons 400 dollar carseat was stolen from his front porch. It’s very frustrating and I hope that the FPD does something to help you. Best of luck.
