[UPDATE 8:14 p.m.: Stopped at 90 Acres] Fire Between Ono and Platina in Western Shasta County

Aircraft and ground crews are responding to a fire sending up a large column of black smoke between Platina and Ono in western Shasta County this evening. According the CHP Traffic Incident Information Page, the fire was reported just before 6:30 p.m. near the intersection of Trinity Alps Vista Road and Bland Road.

Tanker 94 out of Redding is now on the fire as can be seen on the FlightRadar site.

UPDATE 7:55 p.m.: The Igo Ono Fire Department stated on Facebook, “Forward progress nearly stopped. 90 acres. Looking good the incident commander says.” Then just before 7:50, the account said that the fire is “stopped.” It reports that it will be four hours until cleanup.

UPDATE 8:14 p.m.: Cal Fire reported via Twitter at 8:12 p.m., “#TrinityFire off Trinity Alps Vista Rd & Bland Rd, southwest of Ono in Shasta County is 90 acres & 50% contained. Forward spread stopped.” They also shared this photo:
