Alderpoint Road To Close All Day for Culvert Replacement June 26

stay informed humboldt logoInformation from the County of Humboldt:

On June 26th, 2019 Alderpoint Road will be closed at post mile marker 42, due to a new culvert being installed. The only detour will be thru Fort Seward. The road will be re-opened the same day by 8 o’clock pm.

Additional updates will be posted as they become available.

The nearest cross road is Sturm Road and this is not far from Hwy 36 so will mostly impact people who use that entrance.

What about the rest of the road? The county’s attempt to fill a few potholes 2.8 miles up is pathetic and wasteful of funds. They have filled them 3-4 times over the last few months without digging out the ditch to keep the water from flowing across the road. Within a week or so the pavement breaks apart and come up because the water still flows across the road.
Every year I dig out the undersized Culvert that goes under AP road rear my house because the county doesnt.
