UPDATE 9:11 p.m.: Cheryl Antony, spokesperson for Shelter Cove Fire said they got the fire out about 6 p.m. The fire burned to around a 1/2 acre before being squelched.
Shelter Cove Fire was assisted by construction company who was working nearby. “We were helped by some people with some heavy equipment,”Antony said. “They started clearing a pathway. It really helped.”
The monitor on one of Shelter Cove’s fire engines was extremely helpful, Antony said. “In a pinch, when you don’t have time to get your hoses out, then you can just sit in the truck and press a button.”At this point, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

🕯🌳Hope they catch it.
Glad that is a stock photo (and that the fire does not grow to be like that photo given how hot and dry the woods are today).
🕯🌳I’ll second that.
A special thank you to G.R. Sundberg and Wilcox for putting there heavy equipment to use on this fire. You guys kicked butt!
What is a 1/4 fire?
