The Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce has been shaking things up the past two years for our rural but wide spread community! From the quarterly Cops & Conversation get togethers, town wide clean ups and Chamber mixers, to our Annual Halloween Fest and Chamber Dinner, to the newly implemented carriage rides in December and Inaugural Fireman’s Ball, we have created some positive chatter throughout this one of a kind remote destination location.

The Chamber works hard to be active in the community helping to build relationships between businesses and community members along with providing networking opportunities to the greater area of Southern Humboldt. We are a valuable resource of information for locals and out of towners alike with our visitor center open five days a week to the public.

The Chamber has been backing businesses since 1941 and the past two years we have been going full throttle on doing whatever we possibly can to help our area adapt, adjust and overcome the economic challenges we are being faced with today. Just as we have backed up our community, our community is backing us! We are proud to announce that there has been a lot of growth within our organization and with growth comes expansion!

We would like to welcome long-time local resident and active community member, Catrina Chavez to our team! Raised in Southern Humboldt with a passion for our community, she specializes in unique and creative event design. Catrina is the proud owner of Above & Beyond Creations where she works hard to create the newest trends in event design with incredible detail! She also offers services that include workshops, photo shoot editorials, weddings, destination weddings, fundraisers, social and corporate events.

Catrina joins us with a wide range of experience and enjoys spending her free time volunteering to help organizations in need of assistance as well as implementing community events such as “Outdoor Movie Nights” that are currently held at the Garberville Town Square. She is passionate in everything that she does and her love for this community runs deep!
Welcome to our team Catrina, we look forward to working with you in the 2019 year ahead!

Sincerely,
Jenny Early / Executive Director
Southern Humboldt Chamber of Commerce

~dang. I forgot to add the Commerce chamber groupies to my dinosaur list on the other thread.

Congress controls commerce – OUT ON THE OCEAN. Commerce on the land is fraud, straight-up.

Federalist 4

“We are rivals in navigation and the c a r r y i n g trade . . . carrying trade IS commerce consisting of the transportation of goods from one country to another.” (My emphasis)

Ancient form of newly learned language.

Great to see this, why did the Chamber not highlight the other new workers we see cleaning the town??
Hopefully, she is replacing Michelle, Southern Humboldt embarrassment who is incapable of having an adult conversation and just yells @ people!!
