The 2019 Summer Arts program guide is  circulated in local publications and in communities throughout Northern California and Southern Oregon and will be available on site at the festival.

The 2019 music lineup with artists on four stages (Trees, Solar, Lawn, Youth) includes

Nattali Rize from Australia who will headline the Trees stage on Saturday.  With her powerful stage presence she delivers conscious lyrics over electronic, reggae and dub rhythms channeling what she calls the “rebel frequency”.  National Public Radio called Nattali Rize “Infectious”.   The Sunday headliner includes a triple package with West Coast style reggae/ska/rock bands: Long Beach Dub All Stars, The Aggrolites and Tomorrows Bad Seeds.

Also performing on the Trees stage is Singer-Songwriter, Reggae and Soul artist –  Saritah who has crisscrossed the globe performing on many of the world’s most prestigious festivals.  Her latest single RECLAIM YOUR MIND is a commentary on current day humanity’s ‘screen mania’ and the effects of this on our individual and collective wellbeing.

Andre Thierry

Also performing on Summer Arts 2019 is Grammy-nominated Andre Thierry & Accordion Soul performing music in the
Zydeco style. The Washington Post called Andre “A master at pumping out fast, funky rhythms on an instrument not usually associated with earthy syncopation.”

Regional acts, singer songwriter harmony trio from Mendocino County – The Real Sarahs and from Humboldt County the hard hitting Soul band Object Heavy featuring Raasshan Ahmad Rock n Roll power trio Husky & The Slow Attack and Reggae Rock band Irie Rockerz are also slated to appear. Many more regional bands, DJ’s, dance troupes, children’s entertainers and performing artists are scheduled to perform on Summer Arts 2019.

In addition to a wide scope of performing arts offerings, festival goers can expect two days of 150+ craft vendors including a wide selection of local food booths, a fun Kids Zone with children’s entertainment, a Belly Dance Temple and Generation Green Area!

The Mateel Community Center looks forward to celebrating the start of summer with the greater community along the south fork of the Eel river. Why doesnt the mateel put on more shows with better acts amd just become a community minded venue? Seems stupid. They obviously still have a huge debt out there and do so littlw for this community now.. A fundraiser? Just makes no sense. The hall is falling apart…

The hole Mateel is where their heart was, now we are left with emptiness. Not a Community Center any more. Remember where Love was ?
