More people driving like idiots, not respecting the space that semis need to operate safely, not to mention brake.

Yea Damn truck stopped right in front of that Dodge pickup. Need to cite that semi driver a big Ticket for being in that guy’s way. We all know he had to be at fault, Damn truck drivers always are.
Truth be known, the clown in the 4 wheeler probably didn’t even see the truck stopped while he had his face down in his phone.

There wasn’t an accusation in that comment. It just seems there has been a recent spate in big rig accidents. Maybe they just get more press coverage because they are usually so spectacular. But I do agree that the space left in front of a big truck should not be looked on as an opportunity to pull over before coming to a stop.

It’s funny everyone blames the trucks. How about the dozens of cars that get in accidents everyday that occur.
Go for a ride with a trucker. You’ll see what jerks most people are in their cars.

People forget that big trucks and larger pickup’s can’t stop like city cars can. So many of these city cars are so light and have been fitted with huge brakes and driver aids, that people abuse them. They completely forget about highway and road codes and laws for following distance since they can get away with being stupid. Then majorly contribute if not cause accidents by the way they drive.

Lets face it a truck that weighs 10,000lbs isn’t going to stop like a smart car that weighs 1,000lbs at most. Yet you will see drivers of these little cars cut people off like crazy and then wonder why they got rear ended. Cause they cut in to early and jammed on their brakes.

Look at how people drive these days and get away with it, 1-2 feet from peoples bumpers, nose down in their phones. Sadly the local law enforcement doesn’t drive much better, let alone enforce stuff they should be enforcing that are obvious violations/safety concerns.

I have jackknifed a trailer when I successfully braked hard when one person pulled in front of me and stopped only to have another one pull into the space I managed get between me and the first car. That second braking was not sonsuccessfull. I feel very sorry for the truckers trying to get down Broadway.

If you can’t control a brodozer, don’t drive one.

I was behind the Dodge. Driving way too fast. Semi had slowed down because of another truck in front of him was very slow. This is a 45MPH zone, but VERY FEW people slow down here. I have seen 85 MPH flash on the speed sign on the edge of town many times and an average speed of 65 or so. Heavy deer crossing area as well.

If it wasn’t for trucks you would not have a car to drive in so if you got it a truck brought it so reamber trucks are allways going to be on the road so watch out for them its hard for truck drivers to see people in cars going 40 miles hr faster than them

In General the large majority of people operating passenger vehicles DO NOT USE the common sense God gave geese when they are behind the wheel. Clearence suggestions in the DMV handbook, on the test, and on the road have been made because someone DIED. It just amazes me at how fast folks blame the big rigs for their OWN mistakes. It only takes seconds of inattention in your driving or minor impairment In your person to kill. So drop the Friggin phones, and the drugs, or alcohol, make sure your rested. Then put on your thinking cap and remember what your supposed to do when driving. USE COMMON COURTSY FOR ALL OTHER DRIVERS. Piss poor planning equals piss poor performance….
