Rock the Test: Principal and Teachers at Toddy Thomas Hold Pre-State Evaluation Rally That Actually Looks Like Fun
Remember state testing prep when you were a kid in school? We don’t think it looked like this.
On Monday, Principal Mat Bigham of Toddy Thomas Middle School led the students in a rousing rendition of of the rock anthem We Will Rock You–only the words had been modified to reflect a positive spin on taking the state test.
Principal Bigham sang a version that includes “We set the bar high so you can do your best.”
And the kids chanted back, “We will…we will rock it!”
Their test was yesterday and we hope they had fun and rocked it!

Kids are not allowed to wear bandanas I understand it may show colors which could be associated with gangs. But when the principal and teachers wear them not a good example.
Give it up cat. They had fun getting ready for a Test. The teachers are good examples cause there help get them ready for the state test.
So now we’re making a game of the fact that “schools” fail to genuinely educate or to teach the ability to analyze and think logically. And announcing as an open joke that standardized testing evaluates much of anything of lasting value other than how to take a meaningless standardized test.
Priceless!
🕯Screw the naw sayers I think it’s a great idea.
I’m not a big fan of state testing, but these guys rock! Great job teachers. Wish I had you when I was a kid.
