Arcata Recreation Division Announces Open Enrollment for Adult Ceramics Class

Arcata, CA – The City of Arcata Recreation Division announced today that enrollment for Adult Ceramics class is now open.

Come play with clay! Whether you are new to ceramics or longing to get your hands in the clay again, this class offers a creative space for adults, age 18 and over, to dive in and interact with other pottery students while having the opportunity to hand build, learn glaze application and decorative techniques. Experienced students have an opportunity to dabble in wheel throwing.

Adult Ceramics will take place Tuesday, April 30 through Tuesday, June 11. Classes will be held on Tuesdays, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Teen Room at Arcata Community Center, located at 321 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Parkway.

Class space is limited and early enrollment is encouraged. Participant fees are $70 for Arcata residents or $81 for non-residents, plus a $5 materials fee.
