South Fork Girls Lose to Hoopa
We’ve joined forces with Ray Hamill of HumboldtSports.com to bring you local sports. Below we share a teaser and a link to his stories for easy access. Here’s the intro to Hamill’s look at the Hoopa girls win over the South Fork team to give you a taste of what to expect:
The Hoopa Valley girls won a doubleheader at South Fork on Saturday, but they had to battle all the way.
The Warriors took the opener 4-3 in nine innings, and followed that with a 4-2 win in the nightcap, improving to 4-2 in the Little 4 at the halfway stage.
“I think we played fairly well for the situation we’re in, without getting a lot of games in,” Hoopa head coach Glenn Moore said. “We’re still figuring some things out. It’s really hard without a lot of games.”
