Oh boy, don’t tell the EPIC nut group. I am sure they would want it to stay across the road, that is nature’s way according to them. Thank you Caltrans.

“EPIC nut group” are you kidding..this Sacred groove is the Gateway to our county and community..It reminds those coming from the South to slow down, take a breath, witness and enjoy these amazing beings we are blessed to live with. People come from all over the world to enjoy the Redwoods, these “Standing People” are the Guardians of the land we live upon. The fact that this Caltrans project is still in court is so unacceptable, the money proposed could fix all the other roads we drive on and meanwhile those traveling thru SoHum will continue to enjoy Richardson Groove and slow down and be welcomed by our Redwood relatives

Thank you and well said. But also, NO, EPIC would not want the tree left in the roadway.

The trees close to the road have taken many lives over the years. Time for “Standing People” to sit down and shut the hell up. Human life is worth way more than a few damn redwoods!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Trees don’t “take lives”. Bad driving takes lives. Not slowing down to appropriate speeds takes lives… But sure let’s “straighten” the narrow road to increase speeds. That’ll make it safer… And if caltrans didn’t file purposely false data for their EIR they wouldn’t be in the heat they are in.

A number of folks that have been killed were forced off the road into a tree. Your comment shows you have the brains of a skink!!

Don’t need any pills, just stating the facts. There used to be a coffee shop on the right-hand side of the road coming North many years ago. Cars coming and going caused a number of accidents, so it was torn down with no problem. Now it is time to remove a handful of trees, most with some bark removed by vehicles hitting them. All you jackasses that want to save everything have no clue. Maybe there is a tree marked for you Hick when you get forced off the road! Time for you to take some brain supplements!

Thank you for the tree size Kym. I have not read that (or missed it) in the articles.
