If this is an example of “the worst in the worst people”, you have lived a sheltered life.

I’m not advocating running from the cops, but… even a slow bike, like one of mine that topped out at 73mph on a loooooong straight away, should’ve been able to evade them. That area has a lot of hard left & right turns, lots of short straights where a bike can get up to speed much quicker that a car, lots of pot holes a bike could miss but a car couldn’t avoid, a few twisties even. Once in town, even easier, as long as one doesn’t mind hopping curbs, going through parks, etc. I suspect the rider was trying to dump some evidence. Once that was out of possession, he stopped.

As fast as a bike may be, they are not faster than a radio.

An experienced rider on a full size bike, no question. The car doesn’t have a chance in a dense area. Bridge to town is pretty straight on a highway, likely within close sight the whole time.
