Deadline to Reserve Ad Space for 43rd Annual Summer Arts and Music Festival Guide is April 1st

Mateel logo featureThe Mateel Community Center presents the 2019 Summer Arts and Music Festival. The 43rd annual event takes place at Benbow State Recreation Area in Garberville, Saturday June 1st and Sunday June 2nd, 2019. The two-day advance ticket weekend pass price is $40, single day advance tickets are $22.50.  Tickets are available at the gate for $45 for a weekend pass and $25 per day. Kids 12 and under are admitted free of charge accompanied by a paid adult.

Advance tickets are now on sale through mateel.org.

This year the festival will increase the emphasis on music offered on four stages. Confirmed for Sunday, June 2nd is a triple package with West Coast style reggae/ska/rock bands: Long Beach Dub All Stars, The Aggrolites and Tomorrows Bad Seeds.  Also confirmed for Summer Arts 2019 is Nattali Rize from Australia who last appeared in the area at Reggae on the River 2017. Regional groups, singer songwriter harmony trio from Mendocino County – The Real Sarahs and Humboldt County reggae rock band Irie Rockers are also slated to appear. Many more bands and performing artists will be confirmed over the next several weeks to perform on Summer Arts 2019.   

In addition to a wide scope of performing arts offerings, festival goers can expect two days of 150+ craft vendors including a wide selection of local food booths, a fun Kids Zone, Belly Dance Temple and Generation Green Area!

Bands and performing artists interested in appearing at Summer Arts & Music Festival 2019 are welcome to submit EPK materials for consideration to [email protected] or complete the online application found at:  mateel.org/june-1-2nd-summer-arts-music-festival/  The deadline for submissions is March 16th.

Food, craft vendor and handmade artisans are invited to complete the online vendor application at:  mateel.org/vendors/  and select Summer Arts & Music Festival. Also available is the option download and print the form to mail in your application materials. Vendors can direct questions to Ashley Wilma at [email protected]. The deadline for submissions is March 20th.

The Summer Arts festival guide advertising is now over 50% sold out.  Now is the time to reserve a spot for a business ad. As well as being viewed by all attendees, the festival guide circulates from the Oregon border to the Bay Area. The Summer Arts festival guide is also included as an insert in the North Coast Journal and other local papers. Ad prices range from $130 for a business card to $1200 for a full page ad. A detailed list is available at:  mateel.org/sponsorsads/. There you can also view sponsor package options. The deadline for to reserve ad space is April 1st.

Is so hum even a thing anymore? Last time I was there it looked like a ghost town. Used to be so full of life!

They sold out to High Times when there wasn’t very much left run by tobacco companies and pharmaceuticals they’re even part of the stock market enter link with the Dow Jones Industrial no not much to see here anymore they are going to send in the National Guard to take care of the rest
