Sheep Shearing Crew Robbed While Staying in Fortuna
A reader wrote to ask our help for a sheep shearing crew that had some of their tools stolen. She told us, “My friends shearing crew was robbed [Tuesday] night off Riverwalk drive in Fortuna…a TON of blades similar to these, shearing heads, tool box and two black bags full of shearing gear…”
She added, “There is a reward for the return of this gear! Please keep an eye out as well, they may dump the bag contents and just keep the bags! Please help!!!”

🕯These are specialized tools unless they were idiots(which there seems to be quite a few around here) they have very limited options at getting rid of them. Try the shop next to the play House and even there the both trade for drugs.
So….was this a robbery or a burglary from vehicle? Robbery is a victim participation crime – you have to be there. Burglary occurs either in your absence (or presence if being surreptitious) when someone enters a vehicle or residence (or business) with the intent to commit a crime.
It was a burglary. Kym, thanks so much for posting this. These are great, hard working guys! Sure hope they get their gear returned. Willie, you are correct, specialized equipment that most won’t be able to sell or trade for $$.
Anyone think to question the sheep? They had the most to lose.

Roving rip-off teams are like a plague of locusts. If it’s not bolted down, somebody will grab it. My pick-up was recently burgled right in my driveway. Where does it end?
🕯It’s been shot up someone’s arm,smoked in a pipe or a variety of other inventive they have thought to do there dope after they trade your stuff that you use to feel comfortable leaving in the back of your truck.
I will shear clear of any comments and just hope the tools are found.
True that! Bet those busters scRAMbled when they lambed it, they took a real gambol. But mOVINEg on, sheep shearers are a blessing and the last people who deserve to be robbed. Not to mention if the shearers caught em I know who’d win that wrestling match!
