[UPDATE 1:20 p.m.] Road Incidents February 13th

CHP Incident Page at 1:49 p.m.

The CHP Incident Page is has been eventful this morning.  Keep a watch on this posting for updates and new incidents as information becomes available.

At Bell Springs Road there was a report at 10:25 of lines down in the road.  Dispatch did not know if they were arcing or not.  Will bring you more details as they post.

The Drewry Ranch Road (off of Bell Springs Road south of New Harris)  incident is also an issue of lines down.  PGE reports their ETA is this afternoon sometime.

[UPDATE 11:28a.m.] as of now, all other incidents have been cleared from the CHP Incident page.

[UPDATE 11:48a.m.] a reader reports “I just checked Caltrans and they are reporting Highway 96 closed 5.5 miles east of Hoopa due to a slide.”

[UPDATE 11:53 a.m.] “Ishi-Pishi Road at PM 1.0. is currently closed due to a slide. No estimated time of reopening. Residents can get in from the north end of Ishy Pishy Road. Updates will be posted as they become available” according to Humboldt County Roads.

[UPDATE 12:22 p.m.] There is a fire and lines in the road on HWY 199 at the Oregon border Agricultural Inspection Station according to the scanner and the CHP incident page.

[UPDATE 1:16 p.m.] Two separate simultaneous incidents on 101 near Thomkins Hill Rd.

One involves a man with a backpack walking in the roadway.

The other is a collision.  Please watch for emergency vehicles.

[UPDATE 1:50 p.m.]  motorcycle accident in Cutten, east of Eureka. Tow truck en route.

incidents on 101 at Thomkins hill are still active according to the scanner.

Hwy 162 aka Covelo Road.  a collision has been reported. the pin tags as east of Dos Rios, but there are no details in the write up yet.
