Looking for the Right Home for Cleo

Dog A year and a half ago, a couple adopted Cleo. They were told she was five but she appears younger. They think she is four now.

“She’s a sweetie in many regards, but has some issues that we just can’t get past,” says her owner, Kathryn. “She acts very strange around small children in a way that makes me nervous (fine with older kids and adults).”

The owner adds, “[S]he seems to like other dogs but definitely has socialization issues – she likes to play really rough…It’s the issues with our granddaughter, and our senior dog that have caused the most anxiety.”

The owner stated,

[Cleo] is food aggressive although seems to be only when she’s eating out of her bowl or chewing on a bone.

Her wonderful traits are that she LOVES to be loved, she’s very affectionate, she makes a FANTASTIC guard dog in that she scares the crap out of anyone that comes to the door – great for protection and good company….Did I mention she is super smart and picks up commands and tricks very easily?…

She was basically a very sheltered, spoiled apartment dog before she came to us, and needs someone to build on her good traits…

If you would like more information, please contact Kathryn at (707) 724-0503. Kathryn suggests that the right home would have “[n]o small kids, but maybe another larger dog or two – dogs that would play with her.”

We had a super sweet dog like Cleo, but she was a cat killer& a Houdini at escaping our well- secured yard. She went “out to the country”, and I didn’t want to know the follow up, but hoped for the best. ( we had agreed to foster her, but the cat thing was the deal breaker)

Yep its all about the right fit for both human and dog. Im sure she will be the perfect dog for the right person.
Thanks for putting this ad out instead of just taking her to shelter!

Unpredictable dogs should be put down. There are so many good/nice dogs that need a good home
