Reset, Refresh, and Rejuvenate with Living Light’s Inaugural Reset Retreat

This is a press release from Living Light Culinary Institute:

On Thursday, January 17th through Saturday, January 20th Living Light Culinary Institute will host their first annual Reset Retreat at their newly expanded location in the heart of downtown Fort Bragg. During this four-day journey, participants will explore wellness from a holistic perspective. Guests will learn how to change limiting habits and learn the skills needed to thrive in our ever-changing world.

Steeped in Living Light’s time-tested curriculum and practical knowledge, participants will receive world-class culinary instruction complete with plant-based recipes. In addition; (and what makes the experience so unique) guests will engage with a master herbalist, a skilled tai-chi instructor, an experienced yogini, and a sound healer. Each will also be invited to reconnect with nature by savoring walks on the beach, hikes through the iconic redwoods, and more.

The retreat will feature five local facilitators who will shape the experience. Chef James Sant, Living Light’s Culinary and Creative Director, will provide cutting-edge training and insights on the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle. Samara Smith will lead guests through daily yoga sessions. Scott Menzies will utilize Tai Chi to help guests engage with life in an empowering way. Sara Bassindale will take guests on a journey of sound healing. Liz Migliorelli, aka Sister Spinster, will educate and inspire attendees on a range of herbs and plant-based healing.

The Reset Retreat is the first in a new series of workshops and retreats being planned for the newly expanded campus of Living Light Culinary Institute. “We’re responding to the feedback to expand and offer workshops which act as a complement to our world-class culinary and nutrition training. We’re pleased to offer the first in a series of many retreat and workshops to follow,” says Sant. “The Reset Retreat is an ideal opportunity to honor 2018 while preparing for the new year with the skills and mindset needed to manifest a prosperous 2019.”

I have a friend in Fort Bragg that works with these folks, they sound like really cool people. That being said, I like meat. The unbearable lightness of being is a little one-dimensional after a while.
