City of Arcata Recommends Holiday Eco-Shopping at the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center

This is a press release from the City of Arcata:

Arcata, CA – The City of Arcata’s Environmental Services Department recommends the Marsh Interpretive Center as a great place to shop for holiday gifts.

A gift from the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center gives back to the community in many ways. All purchases made at the Interpretive Center help support the Interpretive Center’s many educational programs including guided bird walks, educational talks on wildlife and the environment, summer camps and interactive exhibits.

In addition to a wide-variety of Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary themed clothing and accessories, the Interpretive Center has many beautiful cards, posters featuring the works of local photographer Sam Camp, Klean Kanteens and an extensive selection of animal and plant field guides for sale this holiday season.

For the young birder and science enthusiast, the Interpretive Center has many nature-themed children’s books and several species of Audubon plush birds that make real bird calls including hawks, falcons, ducks, and quail – all species can be found at the Arcata Marsh and Wildlife Sanctuary!

The Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center is located at 569 South G Street in Arcata and is open on Mondays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
