[UPDATE: Power Restored] Over Two Thousand Without Power in Eureka

Outage mapElectricity is out to over 2100 PG&E customers in Eureka. The power outage is roughly centered on Eureka High School. It heads east almost to Harrison and south almost to Harris. It stretches north to 10th Street and west almost to C Street.

The power went out just before 9 a.m. and, as of 9:17 a.m., the cause is unknown. Scanner traffic indicates that there are power lines down in the area.

UPDATE: Power has been restored in the area.

The outage is not that wide spread. Yes, there was gale force winds that came in right before the rain BUT the map is a bit of an exaggeration. Depends on where your electricity routes from.

Mine went out here in South Eureka about 11:27 and back on around 1pm
