The Eagle Has Landed
Facebook page, County Line Wild.
“[The] first Bald Eagle of the Salmon season has come through on the Humboldt/Mendocino County line,” rejoiced Talia Rose, North Coast wildlife photographer and chronicler on her “When the Salmon begin running upstream to spawn, the Bald Eagle follow,” she explained. “This Eagle was perched in a tall tree over the rapids searching for Salmon, but the river is high and brown, so fishing is a bit trickier.”
More of Talia Rose’s photos of our local wildlife can be seen at her website and she has items for sale there, too, including a 2019 calendar.

It’s bad? Are you experiencing delusion? There’s online help for that and articles out there. Hope this helps
Saw one yesterday around Miranda.
Rejoice. Yes!
I saw one near Alton!!!
Talia, that first picture is so perfect. Thanks for posting. And thanks too to RHBB for offering an opportunity to see these pictures and exposure for artists to earn a livelihood from their art.
Great photos.
Whilst I’m no ornithologist I would wager this bird, and mate/offspring, live in the area and aren’t migrating with the salmon.
Such an eagle clan has existed on Trinity and Lewiston Lakes for over 5 decades, subsisting often on stolen fish from osprey and the occasional inattentive fisherman.
WOW!!!!!
Incredible photos!
Calendar girl?
