I witnessed this. It was a rollover accident and the vehicle is in the center median. CHP was on the scene faster than I could dial 911.

Tons of traffic on Myrtle Ave. Just dropped my kid off at school in Freshwater. When I got to 3 corners there was 18 cars lined up to turn left onto Myrtle, but they had no chance. All on the 101 traffic was funneled on to the old highway, 35 mph thu that intersection. The flashing 35mph sigh shows drivers their current speed, they were doing 45 after passing two 35 mph signs. I understand they were probably late for work, but slow down!!! You are going to come across big traffic in Eureka, weather you drive fast or at a safe speed. 35 mph zones are used to make it safer in busy intersection for people entering and exiting the road.

Yeah. The safety corridor is pretty much ignored. Nobody polices it.

Well if that is your response, Molly Perhaps you are the one speeding by me smoking a cig, holding a full on conversation while talking on your phone in hand eating breakfast putting on makeup and brushing your hair while on your way ignoring the corridor or and did I say, flipping me the bird cuz you cut me off???? Hope not!! It is crazy out there enough already, folks!! They call it the safety corridor for a reason. Not going to hold my breath but can’t wait until they start construction on the overpasses out there indeed!!!
Hang in there folks and remember, Don’t do all those things while ignoring your fellow citizens out there and yes, they are policing the corridor daily!!

EPD is working it pretty hard last few weeks. I see them almost every morning with people pulled over.

They do pull people over, it is a $350 ticket and traffic school.
