High Speed Pursuit From Arcata to Eureka Leads to Two Who End Up Not Being Suspects in Robbery
Arcata Police spotted a vehicle fitting the description and attempted to pull it over in Arcata. The vehicle did not yield and a pursuit followed heading southbound toward Eureka.
At one point the vehicle did stop on Hwy 101 but then took off again. The vehicle pulled over at the Shell Gas station on 4th and V street Eureka. At least one suspect was taken into custody.
Officer J. Phinney of the Arcata Police informed us that during the investigation following the stop it was determined that this vehicle was NOT involved with the robbery at the Ramada Inn. It is unknown why they took off from the police.

Dumbasses.
Guess they ate or dispersed the stash…..
They ate their stash, then got high, and forgot why they were driving. The colourful lights just added to the enjoyment of the trip.
Outstanding warrants?
In country illegally. No license. No insurance.
Nah….
They get checks and ebt cards for doing that, this was something else.
Do you two ever sleep?
You’ll get plenty of rest when you’re dead.
Sleep is overrated.
Sleep, what’s that?
Guilty consciences?
Dodge van vs. Anything=not a very long chase.
You can get those suckers with a 5.9 liter v8. A skilled driver could at least get going fast enough to get a chase called off.
I do not endorse such behavior.
Whatever happened to “You can’t outrun the Motorola?” Back in the day, before instantaneous high-tech radio transmission, a badged vigilante would radio ahead and a road block would be set up. At last count, “The County” had 129 Deputies, including Correctional Officers -some believe they are a Captain or a Lieutenant, or a Sergeant. Maybe because ‘Recruit’ is how jobs in the Matrix are advertised.
Bait and switch. I’d bet they know who did it.
When involved with APD, witnesses are a necessity!
