Around 9:15 p.m., law enforcement received a report of a robbery at Ramada Inn in Valley West in Arcata. The vehicle described as leaving the area was a dark colored van.

Arcata Police spotted a vehicle fitting the description and attempted to pull it over in Arcata. The vehicle did not yield and a pursuit followed heading southbound toward Eureka.

At one point the vehicle did stop on Hwy 101 but then took off again. The vehicle pulled over at the Shell Gas station on 4th and V street Eureka. At least one suspect was taken into custody.

Officer J. Phinney of the Arcata Police informed us that during the investigation following the stop it was determined that this vehicle was NOT involved with the robbery at the Ramada Inn. It is unknown why they took off from the police.
