College of the Redwoods ‘Kindred Poets’ Students Hosting Reading Tomorrow

This is a press release from College of the Redwoods:

College of the Redwoods will present the Kindred Poets (creative writing students from English 32, the poetry class) reading their original poetry from this semester. The reading will take place on Friday, Nov. 16, at 7:00 p.m. at the Morris Grave Museum (636 F Street, Eureka) in the rotunda.

The reading is free and the public is welcome to attend and hear student rhyming, rapping, and reading. The reading of the original work will last about an hour. Booklets containing all the poems will be on sale for $3.00 each, and all proceeds will go to benefit next year’s class of poets. Refreshments will be served.

The readers include Asia Anderson, Xochitl Andrade, Ronen Carmichael, Shane Cawelti, Sarah Dennison, Janice Turner, Gabby Gonzalez, Wendy Hilo, Diane Johnson, Sidney Melendy, Irene Nicolov, Gracie Ortega, Tom Patalakh, Ari Reed, Tana Reynolds, Aundrea Stuckey, Nathan Wentz, and Nick Wilczewski.
