Someone set fire to two dumpsters in Eureka this evening. The first was near the Adorni Center a little after 9 p.m. No structures were threatened and firefighters got it out quickly.

The second fire was near the 600 block of Second Street. John Chiv has a photo of the fire here. It was also quickly put out.

Hat Tip to Operation Safe Streets for their first reporting of this.

UPDATE 10:33 p.m.: Another dumpster is on fire. Firefighters are at the Adorni Center “with a fully involved dumpster,” according to a dispatcher over the scanner.

Poor doggie, I wonder if the man is combative with the dog. There’s enough fire going on destroying lives – can it just stop! It’s got me down & I’m not even directly affected, so destructive & painful.

I noticed Eureka’s air quality index was over 150 last evening (“unhealthy” levels)…that’s bad news for residents.
