Rhonda Kotko: ‘She loved her friends and family with all her heart’

This section includes both obituaries and memories. Honoring our loved ones who have died does not end immediately after their passing. We recognize that… so we’re extending our obituary section to include individuals who may have left a long time ago. If you want to remember someone who is gone, either recently or longer ago, please send a photo and a few sentences to [email protected].

Rhonda Kotko

Born August 17th, 1957, She went to be with the lord on November 3rd, 2018.

She was born in San Diego CA to Dora and Chet Lewis. She has 6 brothers and sisters. When she was growing up she loved riding horses. She was also quite the collector. She loved digging for bottles at the old crest grade. We have great memories of hiking crest mountain and just feeling like we were on top of the world. Then in 1995 she moved up to rio dell and in 1996 her daughter’s came.

She loved to do all day she could that life had to offer if you mentioned it. She would always say yes. She was a care provider for many years of her life. She loved her daughters and grandchildren with all her heart. If they needed her she was there in a heartbeat, she never thought twice.

She was married twice in her life. First was Collins Arrowsmith, they had 2 beautiful daughters and they were very proud of them. They went their separate ways but always been the bestest of friends all the way til the end.

Her second marriage was to Peter Kotko and they had a marriage that seemed magical. They were meant to be together forever. Cancer took him in 2011, but she knew in heart she would see him again.

She is survived by her daughters Anna and Tina Arrowsmith, grandchildren Alyssa, Anthony,Megan Arrowsmith, and Peter Meeks, Brothers and sister Cheryl(Ron)Loba, Kathy(Tom) Wheeler, Judy Stevenson, Debbie White, Randy(Marie) Lewis, Joe(Laura) Lewis and numerous other family members including nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her mom and dad, her grandparents, granddaughter Melanie Arrowsmith, great grandchildren Noah and Kayla. And numerous aunts, uncles And other family members and friends.
She cherished everyday her friends and family were there with her. She loved her friends and family with all her heart not a day went that she never showed it.

Wanted to say a great thanks to all the family and friends that were there for her in her final weeks, and we would also like to thank everyone from hospice that were there to help too.
We will be having a celebration of life for her on Monday, November 12th at Rio Dell Baptist Church at 100 Butcher St, in Rio Dell at 4pm
