Suspect Located in Stolen Vehicle With Stolen Shotgun, Says EPD
This is a press release from the Eureka Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 11-06-18 at about 7:45 am, officers of the Eureka Police Department were dispatched to a residence on the 2500 block of Fairfield for a stolen vehicle report.
While this report was being taken, other responding officers checked the area for the vehicle. The vehicle was quickly located traveling northbound on Fairfield Street. A high risk stop was conducted in the parking lot of a business at the 1700 block of Broadway Street. The solo occupant of the vehicle, identified as Tyrell Shane Cornforth (35 years old), was taken into custody without incident.
In the front passenger seat and readily accessible to Cornforth, officers located a loaded shotgun. A records check of the shotgun revealed that it had been reportedly stolen out of Siskiyou County.
Cornforth was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of vehicle theft, possession of a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property, and other associated charges. He is being held on $75,000 bail.
This is an ongoing investigation and further details will be released if appropriate.

Was it the Camaro again?
Buy a damn shirt for heavens sake.
No tank tops!
Ew. Back sweat. Hope the car owner’s insurance covers a thorough detailing.
Contract with the Russians and put him in the Black Dolphin for a year. When he is released he’ll come back, get a job, never do drugs, and join Rotary.
We need gallows back…
Yeah, but we’ll have to settle for a no bail system next year. So misunderstood disadvantaged people like this don’t have to be inconvenienced by being in jail.
He’s damn lucky he didn’t get shot on the spot
