Bank Robbery Suspect Identified as Man Found Guilty of Robbing It Four Years Ago
We’re sure there’s a story behind this but a man found guilty of robbing the Chase Bank in Eureka on October 9, 2014 was the suspect arrested in this morning’s bank robbery…at…the…same…bank.
This is a press release from the Eureka Police Department. The information has not been proven in a court of law and any individuals described should be presumed innocent until proven guilty:
On 11-07-18 at about 9:56 am, the Eureka Police Department dispatch center received a 911 call from a Bank at the 300 block of F Street, regarding a robbery that had just occurred. It was reported that the suspect presented the Teller a note demanding money. The Teller complied and handed the suspect an envelope containing U.S. currency. The suspect then exited the Bank.
Officers responded and immediately located the suspect outside of the entry/exit doors of the Bank. The suspect, identified as Tracey Dontaye Drew (31 years old), was detained without incident. Drew was found to be in possession of the stolen envelope of U.S. currency taken during the robbery. He was positively identified as the suspect by Bank staff.
Drew was ultimately booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of robbery and is being held on $50,000 bail.
This is an ongoing investigation and further details will be released if appropriate.

I thought he looked familiar. 😱
“Judge Hinrichs will sentence the defendant on July 28, 2015. The maximum sentence for these crimes is five years in prison.”
I couldn’t find how many years he got, but it seems like it was not the maximum.
so he tries rob Chase in 2014, went to prison (hopefully), got out and decides to try to rob Chase again.
Gotta respect the double-down effort.
If at first you don’t succeed; try, try, try again.
nope, if at first you don’t succeed; you probably just “Suck” at it!!!
Third time’s the charm…
Watch for him in 2022 I guess?
Where’s the blame for the racist bank employees?
Picket the bank!!
“Racist bank employees?” I don’t see that from this story. Care to elucidate?
Dude, chill with the $10 words.
Elucidate is a great word.
Her no stuff about things and things about stuff…
Meaning? ( You are great)
To make something clearer by explaining and it comes from a Latin word meaning “to shine” so “to elucidate” means to bring light and clarity to a situation with your explanation.
See…what a wonderful word!
Well. The bank employees are white, so of course there racist. Also if you happened to actually vote , and picked trump…. you are a Nazi. Hope that clears it up.
I guess he didn’t read last week’s Journal
Prolly revenge for over draft fees lol
With a bail amount that low I’m sure there will be a third attempt in the near future. Also either this guy is an extremely slow walker or cops showed up really fast.
This article along with the other one about the guy busted in a stolen car with a stolen gun….they are both repeat felons. Both robbery, and this one a repeat bank robbery. Only in California can you continue to commit crimes without being locked up for good.
And yet we just finished electing mostly Democrats and more liberal ideals regarding policies and laws for criminals!!!
Definition of insanity: keep on doing the same thing and expecting different results.
Aww, its not his fault, he probably had a difficult childhood. He did not use a gun, they just gave him the money when he asked them. We must understand these things. Besides, it’s cold outside, he just needed a warm place to sleep and 3 meals a day for a few weeks.
It may not be his fault. He may have mental problems that prevent him from judging what he does. It’s not like he took sensible actions to escape afterwards in either case. He apparently did similar things in other locations. Not that his mental status would be a great comfort to those he frighten in the bank.
I’ll be back!
You can’t make this stuff up.
Great laugh-full ending to the as-expected d a y a f t e r.
~Oh California
Exactly thanks jerry Brown for making CA more unsafe, now to get even worse with Newsom🤮
Pelosi is Newsoms aunt by marriage
I did not know that.
It’s the inbred RH negative psychos ruling the world waiting for their turn in Gitmo. we should focus on.
The rest is bread and circuses.
Don’t forget ms Feinstein. Time to bury your guns…. deep!
This case reminds me of the psychological phenomenon of illusory cognitive bias in the criminal case of Mr McArthur Wheeler, who robbed banks with his face covered in lemon juice. Mr Wheeler believed lemon juice would make him invisible, based on his misunderstanding regarding chemical properties of lemon juice as an invisible ink.
What nobody told him is that lemon juice ink only works on white paper, not on carbon paper copies or other surfaces. In any event, every lemon juicy message is revealed once the “heat” is applied.
He’s not even sweating a little time. See he’s got this next job all planned out. It’s a bank…
There is no frost inside the jail! Merry Christmas!!
Stick with what you know???!!!
That’s prolly true , it’s getting colder out an rent is kinda high these days so if he gets a year in the county jail and some time suspended over his head then probation will put him in a clean an sober house an let general assistance pay the tab….
Second time robbing the same bank in 5 years, and a 50k bail….. WTF California…
Non violent act. Do drugs and rob shit too feed your drug habit. All goes unpunished. When you have a mental disorder caused by drugs and get a face tattoo, file for discrimination and SSI and live off tax payers.Further more, let’s take away guns from law abiding citizens so they can’t protect themselves from theiving drug addicts. Isn’t democratic California great! Yeeaahhh balloons for everyone

“If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks…will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered…. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs.” . . . “Paper is poverty. It is the ghost of money and not money itself.”
