Don’t forget the local shop owners being pushed out by an industry than can afford higher rent.

If there were more resources for cannabis oversight those thousands of growers will be forced into compliance. Obey the law and respect the environment.

the law states that cannabis is legal. It’s a regulatory/civil matter not a legal matter for the most part. But yes, I agree that the environmental aspect should be considered, similar to the wine industry. cucumbers, squash, potatos, etc.. are also regulated and those farmers need to obey the law as well.

Why? The goals of 64 were very clear. Eradicate the traditional marketplace and take the money away from criminal enterprises. What the heck did you think would happen with 64?

Less of the criminal element is nice. But we should have waited for something that would protect small farmers that actually care about this place. There are more than you realize. I thought the transition for them would be easier.

Legality means having a county permit, a state license, and a BOE sellers permit. Anything short of that is not legal. 95% of SoHum growers are illegal.
