[UPDATE 4:04 p.m.] Trash Fire Next to a Garage Reported in Scotia

Burning structureMultiple people are reporting a garage on fire in the 700 block of Williams Street in Scotia a little before 4 p.m.

There is “light smoke” showing from near the structure, according to the Incident Commander.

UPDATE 4 p.m: According to the Incident Commander, this is a trash can on fire.

UPDATE 4:04 p.m.: The fire has been extinguished and the homeowner has been advised of proper burn permits,” reports the Incident Commander.

Good ole Scotia, never really a dull moment. At least the Firemen(women) gets some training out of it. Go Scotia Volunteer Fire Department. Keep our Heritage alive like the good ole days. One of the BEST Fire Departments in the County, bar none.
