At approximately 12:30 a.m., an altercation reportedly involving at least three people out Hwy 36 left one person critically injured. A man called in reporting that he had been shot but that before he was shot he had stabbed someone and the father of the person he stabbed hit him on the head.

At this point the scanner traffic is unclear. However, a REACH air ambulance landed at Bridgeville around 2:15 a.m. and picked up the critically injured person.

There is another person who has a laceration on his stomach who was located miles away. A ground ambulance is responding for him.

We have requested more information from the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Department.
