Sneaky Waves Predicted for Wednesday

Sneaky waves Wednesday
The US National Weather Service in Eureka issued a warning that hazardous beach conditions are predicted for Wednesday, October 17.

They predict that West-NorthWest facing beaches “could have surf heights of 9 – 11 ft.”  (For reference, a one-story building is about 10 feet high.)

There is an increased chance of “sneaker waves” throughout the afternoon and evening on Wednesday. The Weather Service warns, “Never turn your back on to the ocean.” Remember to keep an eye on your four-legged companions and children if you bring them to the beach Wednesday.

Predicted winds. Predicted waves. Turn off the power.

The end game.

If your power is shut off, immediately go to you electric box and shut it down. Click the small individual ones off first, and the big Main Switch at the top last.

Central HumCo, why should you turn off your electric box that way.

So that when the power is turned back on, if it is, your appliances won’t get a power surge jolt -as happened in Sonoma County last October. When i had a plumber guy install my electric water heater, i watched him turn off the power – the small small ones first.

Hmmm. I deleted that part in my ‘edit’ – specifically because it’s not a part of this thread. But since it didn’t show up in my final edit -and not to confuse other readers, here’s the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iMQEKb2GCAE

Heck, may as well add:

Bottom line – the 9th Circuit more than likely won’t reach a decision until early next year.

Bound for the Supreme Court.

Oh for heaven’s sake! Look over at your neighbor’s place and see if they have power.

THE main point is, that your home doesn’t desinigrate/vaporize and the cause be labeled a lightening storm, or firenado, or wildfire.

Smokey the Bear now says; Remember only you can prevent wildfires.
