Reservations Required for ‘Halloween at Headwaters’ on October 27

Eureka, Calif. – Friends of the Headwaters Forest Reserve, the Bureau of Land Management, Arcata Field Office and the Redwood Parks Conservancy invite you to the 3rd annual Halloween at Headwaters event on Saturday, October 27. Free guided tours are by reservation only and will begin at 4:15 p.m. and run every 20 minutes with the last tour beginning at 5:50 p.m. There is limited space, and this is a popular event, so please make your reservations early if you plan to attend. Reservations can be made on line at:
Due to limited parking, shuttles to the Elk River Trail Head will be required. There is no room in the shuttle for dogs. Tour duration with parking, shuttle, tour and storytelling is approximately 90 minutes. Please be on time for the shuttles.
This free family-friendly event is a candlelit guided living history tour through the once bustling logging town of Falk, located within the Headwaters Forest Reserve. Guided tours include a ½ mile walk. Walking tour ends at the historic train barn with candlelit story telling. Bring warm clothing, water and flashlights.
