Looks like they will be able to kill. However, stay away from the black one-those things bring bad luck

Black cats DO NOT bring bad luck. That old superstition needs to go the way of the dinosaurs.

These are lovely kitties, wish I could take in the whole gang. I trust that the shelter is aware that at this time of year, black cats are in high demand, sometimes just because people have planned to adopt anyway and it’s fun to have a black cat around at Halloween. But there’s a dark side, too, and sometimes black cats and kittens are acquired (or stolen) for nefarious reasons. I won’t go into the dirty details, it’s just too painful, but there are some sick people out there that that would take what has always been a beautiful and sacred pagan high day and turn it into an twisted excuse for bloodshed and cruelty. I know it sounds far-fetched but I assure you I am not making this up. You can read up about this online. Shelters in New York have long banned the adoption of black cats in the days and weeks leading up to Halloween. Currently cats are under attack from psychotic, evil people in all corners of our country. Please take care to keep your black cats close to home and off the streets at this time of year. And I assume that the shelters take account of this sad situation and thoroughly vet potential owners with extra care. Have a safe Samhain, and may Bast defend our feline friends!

Thank you for your factual comments because there is a dark side besides the superstious idiots proclaiming ‘bad luck’! I have done animal rescue, have adopted LBCs (little black cats) and yes, the month of October was/ is very stressful. Cats have a hard enough time but the LBCs get a double dip of tough insanity/ abuse (some communities black dogs so be aware of the wackados).

Blacks cats can be bad luck. If you believe in karma, or luck, or powers above us -then black cats at the wrong place or wrong time are very bad luck. I feel sorry for people who have black cats walk in front of them on full moons
